Alison L. Miller lives, teaches and makes art in Kansas City, MO. She loves taking walks around her rural neighborhood and discovering the unusual beauty in fallen sticks, flattened bird wings, and other such unexpected treasures.
Alison graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2003 and earned her MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2005. She is currently enrolled in the Post-Baccalaureate Art Education Certification Program at the Kansas City Art Institute, with an expected certification date of June 2015.
Since 2005, Alison has taught art classes for ACED (Adult Continuing Education for Persons with Developmental Disabilities) through the Institute for Human Development at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
She works with the collaborative art collective Hyperkewl, and her art has been shown in Kansas City, Detroit and Chicago.
