Alison L. Miller lives, teaches and makes art in Kansas City, MO. She loves taking walks around her rural-ish neighborhood and discovering unexpected beauty in fallen sticks, flattened bird wings, and other such treasures.

Alison graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2003 and earned her MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2005. She has taught Secondary Art since 2015. She realized the classroom was for her while leading art classes for ACED (Adult Continuing Education for Persons with Developmental Disabilities) through the Institute for Human Development at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She worked with ACED for 12 years and is grateful every day for the experience.

Alison has made with the collaborative art collective Hyperkewl, and her art has been shown in Kansas City, Detroit and Chicago.
